This is an article many third gen owners need to read and it is all about tires and suspension upgrades to the GMHTP Formula Project Car. The article has three parts: stock suspension, upgrading to Firehawk wheels and 275-40-17 tires, and the Firehawk rollies with Tokico suspension. Stock the car averaged 0.84g on Pirelli 245-50-16 tires n the stock wheels. Just going to the 275-40-17 BFG tires on Firehawk wheels brought up the average to 0.905g (an increase of .065g), which is about what another 120mm of tire under a third gen will do. The last test was to install the Tokico suspension pieces with the Firehawk rolling stock – result 0.93g average. There are also some good install pics for you DIY folks. Enjoy!
