Best run on the nitrous was 1.35 seconds and 12 mph quicker on a 180hp hit.

The Third Gen Solution – GM High Tech Performance September 2002

Here is a great article for those who want to take advantage of GM’s Vortech heads on their TPI engine. Scoggin-Dickey has developed a TPI base intake that is compatible with the Vortech heads and allows for maximum flow. While not cheap, it allows one with a TPI to keep the stock style intake setup (as opposed to Miniram or SuperRam options) and make excellent power. On a 350 with an LT4 hot cam, Edelbrock runners and TB, the Vortech heads, and base intake, the car made 357 hp and 416 lb-ft using the stock intake type. Enjoy!
